It's not 1981 anymore
Following the withdrawal of BS 4721:1981, screeds specified by volume no longer comply with British Standards.
Specifying screeds by volume might have been OK in the 80’s, but so was wearing frilly shirts and bows in your hair. Today only ready-mix screeds meet the latest European Standards (BS EN 13813). 1:4 screeds won't be covered!
