Mixed in with compost, our horticultural silver sand is perfect for seed sowing, taking cuttings and using in the greenhouse.

 Horticultural grit

Rose, brick and quartz coloured chips create a warm blend that’s deeper in tone than our Canterbury mix, and more subtle too. Use it in paths, patios and pots - it’ll help ward off slugs and weeds, as well as looking classically rich.

 Alpine grit

With its beautiful flinty stones in yellow, pink, brown and cream, our horticultural alpine grit looks great, helps stop tubs drying out and makes an excellent rockery or bed mulch. It’s soft in the sun and glossy in the rain.
