Our commitment
At Tarmac Building Products, we're committed to building skills within our industry, supporting the vital work of the Aircrete Products Association (APA), the Concrete Block Association (CBA), the Construction Industry Training Board and COVE (Centre of Vocational Excellence) Network.
We also have a thin joint blockwork training facility, at our Linford factory in Essex, offering contractors, trainers and college lecturers demonstrations.
There's also 2 videos available, a training video explaining the benefits of thin joint blockwork and our Durox system and a demonstration of constructing a wall using thin joint blockwork.
Plus, we are building relationships with COVE network in supporting colleges nationwide, donating literature and prizes, providing sponsorship and organising factory visits.

Thin joint blockwork training facility
Tarmac Building Products has a training facility specifically for thin joint blockwork at its aircrete factory in Essex. The facility focuses on training the trainers, especially college lecturers, whom offer construction courses.
The training facility provides lecturers with comprehensive information on building with thin joint masonry, and associated materials and methods, such as projection rendering and plastering.
